Kristen Pufahl Schreck, MS, RDN, LDN
Kristen is a registered dietitian nutritionist with special expertise in adolescent and women's health, disordered eating, and weight management. She is passionate about combining her love for teaching with her interest in nutrition and food.
In addition to her work at KPS Nutrition, Kristen is the Nutrition Services Program Manager at Jewish Family & Children's Service in Waltham, Massachusetts where she develops nutrition programs, provides individual nutrition counseling, and educates staff and clients the community about healthy eating practices. She also coordinates the agency's corporate wellness program. In addition, Kristen teaches two "brick & mortar" courses and one online course at Boston. She has worked as a high school nutrition teacher, a clinical dietitian, and a nutrition consultant. She also served as the the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) Nutrition Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Kristen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University and her Master of Science in Nutrition degree from Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and she completed her dietetic internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was has been given the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award and the Outstanding Dietetics Student Award from the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and serves on the board of the Massachusetts Dietetic Association.
In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading, cooking, practicing yoga, riding her bike, and exploring great restaurants in the Boston area.
